Ignition Coil High Voltage Generators

Thursday, July 3rd, 2008

Below is the schematic to a high voltage generator using one ignition coil. It runs fine on 6 volts, but you can change the 5 relay to a 9 or 12 volt relay, and run it on 12 volts. The average output (depends on the coil, the input voltage, etc…) is 40kV.

Make a PIC based cockroach shocker

Monday, March 17th, 2008

Using a PIC for this device provides a lot of useful functionality. The timing for the power pulse to the inductor is critical to getting the best Zap from your nine volt battery. The longer the current is on, the higher the voltage. Once the inductor reaches saturation, however, you are just wasting power. Some [...]

2-7V / 6-8A Power Supply by 723 and 7812

Saturday, January 26th, 2008

In this 2-7V power supply circuit, for our purpose, we chose IC 723 instead of a three pin voltage regulator forwhy we find it protean and more advantageous in technical details.
Heatsinks of Tr2 and Tr3 transistors must be sufficiently large.
To achive R4,R5 and R6 values, we used some suitable resistors in parallel. For R4 and [...]
