Air Flow Detector

Friday, August 15th, 2008

This simple circuit uses an incandescent lamp to detect airflow. With the filament exposed to air, a constant current source is used to slightly heat the filament. As it is heated, the resistance increases. As air flows over the filament it cools down, thus lowering it’s resistance. A comparator is used to detect this difference [...]

Light – Dark Detector Alarm by IC 555

Thursday, August 14th, 2008

Today we come to see the circuit detects the light by have a voice warn. When meet the light or be become dark depend on using S1 ( follow the circuit ). For this my circuit uses the integrated circuit IC 555 be pillar equipment again. You can choose [...]

Anode Gate Thyristors and High Current AC Applications

Thursday, August 14th, 2008

The common thyristor solution used in higher current ac switching is two isolated SCR’s. The added hardware and packaging required to provide the needed isolated heat sinking in this configuration is a cost drawback. Triacs allow a single heat sink, but are limited by their thermal performance in current, blocking voltage, and higher frequency applications.
